Are you starting a new project? If so then I expect you feel extremely motivated to do well with it, I must warn you that this will not last long. Most people find that within the first few months their project has so many problems, which we all go through, that they have lost their motivation to go further with it. If you are having this problem then make sure you read Success Circuit daily, as many of the posts that I write will be focused on motivating you.
- Choose reachable goals – This is extremely important to remember. We all know to make goals for ourselves. How many of us really do? Probably the minority, so for those of you that do not make goals at all then please start making them! It will help. To make the best goal possible, you must choose something realistic. If your goal is realistic then you will not have the problem of failing to achieve it every time, which will decrease your motivation by a lot.
- Surround yourself with support – This is not spoken about as often as goals but, in my opinion, it is at least as important. Many people do not talk about their projects to their friends and family for many reasons, one reason might be because they feel that their friends and family are not interested. An example of this might be a blogger not speaking about their blog to other people that do not blog or even know what one is. I promise you, if you manage to gain the support of the people around you then you really will be motivated by them
- Have fun! – If you get bored easily by your project then something is wrong. You should only do something if you like to do it and find it fun. If you do unique things then you are already extremely successful, you have not followed the crowd. I am one of the people that hate to follow the crowds; I do what I believe in. You should too. It will pay back eventually and will certainly be motivational.
- Have a Role Model – I have many role models. I find that looking up to people is a very good way to motivate yourself. A more unique way of thinking about this is to look and examine the people you look up to, they may even be your friends or family, this way you can see how you can improve yourself and perhaps even surpass your role models. This form of motivation is very strong as everyone always seems to be very competitive with each other. Here is the time for competition! Though I would recommend contacting this person as it is better to be friends than to be rivals.
- Keep your focus on the end result – You set goals for yourself, now you need to focus on them. There is not point in making a goal if you are just going to forget about it. Let them motivate you and show you how much you are improving.
I was going to write 10 tips like this, instead I would like you to come up with some tips. It is always a better post if you readers join in as it gets some interactivity going between us all. Please share your opinions and any more tips you can think of.
