Today I have some facts that will either be very obvious to you or open your eyes.

What is Recession?

In today’s society we find the word ‘Recession’ in very common use. It is even used daily at my school… the majority of under 16′s understand what it is. But has it always been this way? No it hasn’t. I must have come across the word some time last year, perhaps late 2007, but it was not until I saw this graph did I actually notice this.

I am no Google Trends master, I have no idea what Search Volume Index is in real searches, however it is very obvious that the amount of searches for ‘Recession’ went up massivly in 2008 from 2007. This makes me wonder, what other words have come into me frequent use lately?

I have been doing a quick scan of words. So far I have seen nothing as impressive as the graph above but I shall show you some I have found. If you find any, please share!

I recomend you to start using Google Trends if you don’t already, I certianlly need to more. It helps you to understand what the searches are like, and with very good skills, you could potentially use it to direct many money visitors to your site.
