If you get the chance check out Malcom Gladwell's book Outliers. It's a book that looks at unusual success stories and the one take away from it was that the people like the Beatles and great hockey players had was that they practiced more and did more in the start to get going on their way. You have to pay it up front and enjoy the fruits latter. While there is no silver bullet to success you can shorten the journey by working your butt off now. Gladwell's book talks about how the Beatles before they hit it big played local small venues and strip clubs three times a night. The hockey playes had taken 10,000 shot on a goal before their success. Chers

This is so true. There is no success without some failure. When I started my Math AS (first part of an A level), my teacher asked the class how they learn, some people said by practising, some people said by working hard... I said by failing/getting it wrong.

While hindsight is always 20/20 most of the success of the world have been built on failure. The key is to learn from failure and not repeat it. I love the quote from the former British Prime Minister "Action may not always bring happiness, but there is no happiness without action. The key is like you said knowing where to look. That is why going to seminars and networking are the shortest route to finding the info. Books and C.D. products second.People need to transform what they think efficiency into effectiveness. Efficiency is the process of staying busy all the time with no idle moments.Effectiveness is the process of producing the maximum results in the minimum time frame with minimum effort. In short work smart instead of harder. Doing more of what already is not working is the definition of insanity. I hope we all learn from each others mistakes and develop a online mastermind group to do so!
