True meditation is about discovering the truth and the first truth we discover, is the truth about ourselves. Our conscious minds are only the tip of a very large iceberg. The 90% below the surface often called the subconscious mind contains memories, resentments & negative emotions which affect us today although we don't realise it. Continue reading →

He is talking about his late wife, and explains how her wilfulness and promiscuity and lack of respect finally proved too much for him, leading him to decide to have her permanently silenced. He ends the poem by proposing to go downstairs to meet the father of his new fiancée, and the reader is left terrified on behalf of the poor unsuspecting bride-to-be. Continue reading →

I went to a school for the deaf when I was in kindergarten and I noticed a lot of the other kids also tried to hide their hearing aids but I decided that I didn't want to hide them anymore, I wanted them to stand out and shine so I was sitting at my grandmothers kitchen table when I was 5 years old drawing designs for what I wanted on my hearing aids. Continue reading →

Today I had the amazing experience on speaking to BBC Radio2 Newscaster Fenella Fudge; no I did not ask her about her name! There is not much I can say to describe this hilarious woman; you will just have to read on to find out for yourselves.

Hi Fenella, please tell us a little about yourself

Well, when I was about five, people used to ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up ... and I used to reply "a giraffe". I had no idea you had to stay human. It's a goal I've never fulfilled, but it showed an early tendency to think somewhat 'outside the box'.

I joined the BBC straight from college (I did the International Baccalaureate rather than A Levels) as my father wasn't keen on me going to university and falling under 'bad influences'! The beeb (BBC) took me on as a trainee secretary, teaching me to type and do shorthand. Continue reading →
