Undercharging can be good, depending what for. But only undercharge for people you know. You should never undercharge even if you’re starting out. If you do one website for a really good price, chances are, that a referral will be made from word of mouth, because you did a really great site at such a low cost. So you’ll have a reputation for providing high quality sites at low costs, and you won’t want to damage your reputation so you’ll have to live with : (

I am often told charging less to begin with is a bad idea because you will do it for too long, I used to have this problem. I still charge not enough for almost everything.
